The new dedicated Pharma & Healthcare Center opened in spring 2013 within the existing infrastructure of the Cargocenter in Luxembourg. It offers 3000 sqm of storage area with two distinct temperature zones:

• 818 sqm « cold » storage (2-8° C) with a capacity for 350 skids (Euro pallets)

• 1600 sqm « controlled room temperature » storage (15-25°C) for 1270 skids (Euro pallets)

• 70 temperature controlled ULD positions (2-25°C)

From arrival until departure, each temperature sensitive shipment is constantly monitored by an experienced and dedicated team, as well as high-tech survey equipment.

The Pharma & Healthcare Center is located adjacent to the aircraft ramp, with six dedicated and temperature controlled truck docks maintaining the integrity of the cool chain of shipment at any stage of the handling process.

During the transfert from aircraft to the Pharma & Healthcare Center or the temperature controlled ULD cells, the shipment remains constantly in one hand which ensures a safe transport of the pharmaceutical products within a few minutes (5 minutes maximum).

The Pharma & Healthcare Center fulfils all requirements of the World Health Organization (WHO). It is IATA certified and compliant to the guidelines for proper distribution of medical products for human use (GDP).
